Actor leaves management agency due to anti-nuke activities
TOKYO, May 28, KyodoPopular actor Taro Yamamoto has withdrawn from his management agency apparently due to his anti-nuclear activities in the wake of the nuclear disaster at the Fukushima Daiichi power plant.
The agency posted a message on its homepage on Friday, saying it has decided to accept Yamamoto's wish not to cause trouble because of his personal activities.
Yamamoto, 36, who frequently appears in TV dramas and travel programs, has been involved in activities to protect children in Fukushima Prefecture, home of the crippled nuclear power plant, from radioactive materials.
